The building serves as the main headquarters of the company IMPORTO and is thus an icon and symbol of their values. The structure connects aesthetics with functionality and efficiency through its expression. The complex is made up of two parts, with the administrative building dominating the front line, while in the background, there is a partially sunken storage hall for passenger cars with a movable roof, which also functions as a showroom. The highlight of the administrative building is the upper white cubic section, which houses office and representation spaces. The mass is placed on a pair of walls, linking the interior with the exterior. Inside, it creates a dividing line between the back office and public areas. The clean design of the building is complemented by an atypical interior solution.

Petr Holada from the architectural studio de.fakto received an award in the national competition in the field of architecture and construction BUILDING OF THE YEAR 2024 for the project of the administrative building IMPORTO Klatovy. On Friday, November 15, he carried home a crystal award from the Rudolfinium, where a festive gala evening was held, made by the Rückl glassworks and designed by designer Rony Plesl. This year, 116 registered buildings from all over the Czech Republic and 4 foreign buildings competed for the title.

The title Building of the Year 2024 was awarded for the uniqueness of execution and the purity of the structural and architectural solution of the building as a whole. In the overall expression, the care dedicated to both the design of the building and the subsequent transfer of the design into final realization is evident. Characteristic elements include lines, planes, the synergy of horizontality and verticality, clearly defined height levels, the connection of the exterior and interior, large formats, and quality finishes. The building is an example of modern, cultivated commercial-administrative architecture with generous yet simple form and material solutions and a restrained color concept for both the interior and exterior.

Co-owner of de.fakto, Filip Hejzlar, says about the award: "We are of course immensely happy and it proves that de.fakto is not a one-man show. We have a fantastic team of architects, which I am really proud of." The prestigious Building of the Year award is the most significant event of the year in construction and architecture and is also a dignified reminder of the importance of, for example, engineering, transportation, and industrial buildings, which are also an integral part of it.
