The concept of the apartment reconstruction project in one of the first apartment buildings in Prague built in the functionalist style was based on three main supporting elements: space (emptiness), light, and solitaires within it.

In the first phase of the reconstruction, the apartment was cleansed of all unsuccessful and catastrophic accumulations of time. The space itself began to shine. In response to this strong feeling, the idea arose to leave the generosity of emptiness intact, and indeed to enhance it further.
The realization became a small laboratory seeking the boundaries of materials, furniture constructions, and persistence.

The architect designed a large atypical furniture block that runs throughout the apartment and incorporates everything necessary - at the entrance, there are two technical rooms, a wardrobe, the mass continues through the space and hides storage areas, a kitchen covered by wings, and even two smaller bathrooms fit in.
The rest of the apartment was left simple by the author and complemented only by a few artistic solitaires.

The shell of the atypically shaped block became a large-format canvas, which was perfectly handled by artist Klára Spišková. Her strong painting contrasts with the background of raw MDF boards and gives the whole a unique energy.

The shell of the apartment reflects the original spirit - at its core, it remained sober white, even gallery-like. A subtle pinkish hue flows through the space, gradually transforming and culminating at both ends of the apartment: in the living room with a raspberry sofa and in the bedroom, it mixes with shades of apricot and vivid sunset, which appear on the curtains by Linda Kaplanová. Linen textiles of two textures wrap softly around the bed, separating the sleeping area and gently tinting the incoming light. The delicate expression of the bedroom is softened by a light fixture from Ingo Maurer and photographs by Bet Orten.
The bedroom can be separated from the rest of the space with a movable partition.

The fragile pinkish tones are contrasted with metals used in large scales.
This concept of "delicacy and rawness" is manifested both in the entirety and in the details of the interior.
The color concept is further complemented by a motif inside and outside - the interior of the block is all darker, more grounded. The sunset tone transformed into dark brick to terracotta in the bathrooms, whose warm impression was enhanced by ambient lighting.

The design emphasizes interconnectedness (spatial, material, color) and works with long views through the space, deepening them further through mirroring.
The views and the large interconnected space are the most generous moments of the apartment.
