Byte in three tones
An apartment in a panel building from the 1950s in Prague's Holešovice has undergone a complete renovation, transforming the originally cramped layout into an open and airy space for a young family. The generous floor area and skeleton construction allowed for significant changes – most partitions were removed, and the exposed load-bearing system with columns and beams became a natural part of the interior.

A green installation with a dressing room and hygiene facilities was placed in the center of the apartment, establishing the rhythm of life within the space. Surrounding it is the main living area oriented towards the square with a view of the city, while the bedroom and children's room remain in a quiet courtyard. Colorful accents – the green core and blue built-in elements of the study and library – zone the interior and add a fresh character to it. Transparent partitions also create a workspace, while white built-in wardrobes provide ample storage space and conceal a second dressing room.

The material solution refers to the character of the building: concrete is complemented by cement screeds, oak floors, and bold color areas. The color scheme of the interior is based on a trio of shades – green, blue, and pink – which complement each other and, combined with copper details, create a harmonious whole. These details appear on fixtures, handles, and custom lighting. The original concrete beams, which did not meet the clients' expectations, were unified with cement screed, giving them a more delicate appearance and visually lightening the low ceilings.
