URBANISTICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTION
The area and building of the Center for Polytechnical Education and Training in Boskovice is designed in the location of an unbuilt sports hall. It spatially and dispositionally connects to the existing building of the Slovákova Primary School. By placing it in a recessed terrain, it naturally enhances the modern school campus with a park, a natural biotope, a children's playground area, and open seating around a fire pit and an outdoor covered lecture hall and auditorium with a covered stage.

Access to the Center for Polytechnical Education is available from both the existing spaces of the Slovákova Primary School and a separate entrance from Bílkovy Street.

At the center of the newly established area is a park with a natural biotope and a wooden pier for visitors. The area around the water feature is shaped by a grassed geomat. Paths for visitors flank this centrally formed park space. Along the walking paths, the planting of mature greenery is proposed, complemented by urban furniture and low park poles for public lighting and backlit concrete benches.

VOLUMETRIC SOLUTION
The volumetric solution of the building is based on the principle of a “hidden building.” The designed structure utilizes the existing morphology of the terrain and is naturally embedded into it. The subsequent implementation of green roofs makes it practically hidden in greenery.

The single-story building of the Center for Polytechnical Education with a flat roof is designed minimally as a simple block divided only by glazed areas on the western facade and a significantly overhanging roof covering the outdoor balcony. This roof then covers the entrance area to the outdoor auditorium and the outdoor covered seating/natural classroom that connects to the seating by the fire pit.

Only the intentionally raised parapet of the auditorium rises above the grassed roof area, covering the stage while providing acoustic comfort/protection for the audience.

DISPOSITIONAL SOLUTION
The proposed building of the Center for Polytechnical Education connects to the existing pavilion of Slovákova Primary School via a communication hall with separate sanitary facilities for women and men. From the hall, a central corridor provides access to a teacher's office/classroom with its own sanitary facilities, a technology classroom with a capacity of 24 students, a crafts workshop with a capacity of 24 students, and a natural science classroom with a capacity of up to 30 students. The workshops and specialized classrooms have accessible storage rooms from the corridor. Access for visitors/audiences is ensured via a separate entrance.

For outdoor educational activities, there is a terraced outdoor auditorium with a capacity of up to 150 students and a covered stage, equipped with technology for outdoor lectures, projections, and performances. The technical facilities of the building and a storage room for outdoor furniture and equipment are accessible via separate entrances from the stage. The structure of the raised stage allows for the insertion of a mobile part of the stage, used to expand its usable area.

The entrance to the auditorium is covered and can be closed with a gate made of sliding metal panels. For outdoor educational activities, there is also a covered seating area for smaller groups of up to 30 students, designed in the southwestern part of the building. Sanitary facilities for outdoor activities, for men and women, including accessible WC facilities for persons with reduced mobility, are accessible from the covered area of the auditorium entrance. The covered seating/natural classroom connects to an outdoor seating area by a raised fire pit.

COLOR AND MATERIAL SOLUTION
The building of the Center for Polytechnical Education, as well as the steps of the staircase and the parapet of the auditorium, is designed as a reinforced concrete monolithic structure. The internal partitions are either masonry or drywall. The window fillings are designed to the full clear height of the rooms and are wood-aluminum. The corridor and storage areas will be illuminated by roof light tubes.

The adjoining outdoor retaining walls, as well as the terraced arrangement of the auditorium, will be composed of gabions. The outdoor wooden cladding is proposed from Siberian larch with a revealed gap in a rhombus profile.

The surfaces of the walls of the covered stage, entrance, and auditorium parapet will be treated with a dark slate gray concrete finish. The entrance doors to the outdoor sanitary facilities will be in the same shade.

WATER MANAGEMENT – NATURAL BIOTOPE
The water source for the biotope is primarily a spring of groundwater. In case of a shortage of groundwater, the system is supplemented by rainwater from an underground retention tank. This ensures year-round stability and functionality of the biotope, also considering the evaporation of water from the surface.

Irrigation of the green park areas and outdoor planting containers is realized by connecting to the drainage system of rainwater from a capacity retention tank.
