Inspired by traditional fishermen's huts, we propose a small cottage on the shore of a pond, set in the picturesque landscape of the Highlands. Its size is limited by legislation. The maximum built-up area of 50 m² and maximum height of 5 m necessitate a specific layout for family recreation. The structure consists of four small masses, three interconnected and the fourth detached, standing nearby. Through a minimal vestibule, one can enter the central room, the living kitchen, which also includes a small attic space designated for children's sleeping. The kitchen boasts a wonderful view of the water surface, as do the bedroom and living room, which also open towards the opposite side, into the sunlit landscape of towering oaks. The separate structure offers storage space and a covered porch, intended for drying fishing nets or simply for quietly enjoying the surrounding beauty.
