"We need a change," we said. Too many black turtlenecks (meaning architects) in one place will make you feel like you’re at a Depeche Mode concert every day at work. So we decided to color our spaces through interdisciplinary collaboration. Reaktor is a platform designed for meeting people with opinions. Only by bringing together different professions can we get to the core. Not the core of a poodle, but the core of various projects that, thanks to the splitting and energy of diverse opinions, later transform into interesting results and unforgettable experiences.
The unifying element of the interior is the ubiquitous plywood on the walls, floor, and minimalist furniture. The black entrance, cloakroom, and kitchenette are an obvious part of the studio's facilities. The workspace can be quickly tidied up and prepared for meetings and workshops thanks to mobile boxes. The front wall serves for the presentation of final projects.
At first glance, the prominently colored rest area stands out, covered with a comfortable carpet and cushions. After a demanding submission, one really needs to get a good sleep. In pink! Although we refer to the old Podolska Sokolovna with the climbing rope to the rest area, the doors are closed for all climbers. Why? Simply because there's no one to "climb up" to. In Reaktor, everyone is their own master, and the only way up is through the willingness to share opinions and the desire to learn from others.
And precisely such individuals are what we are looking for. Do you think you are one of them? Write to us, whether you are a graphic designer, architect, ballerina, economist, or farmer.
PS: Within a gender-balanced collective, we especially welcome women in the core of the reactor.
