House in the village

A village on a hill, a landscape of houses with their extensions, barns, and sheds that layer on the slope.
The strong context of the surroundings and its scale led us to work with a traditional form. Its subtle shifts, mirrored gable silhouettes, and a broken roofline that follows the terrain adapt the object to the needs of the site. The principle of mutually shifted masses of the house allows for views from all living spaces of a house towards the garden and the surrounding landscape.
