Studie novostavby vinařského domu s bydlením

Dům na zlomu
The placement of the house adapts to an incredibly complex plot of land. The land is elevated by 11 meters over a relatively small area. The slope is not smooth; a large amount of earth has been removed in the past. The slope (practically a wall) is now not secured in any way.
The house is situated on the northern side of the plot. The slope supports it from behind and creates part of the removed mass. The building is designed to be partly embedded in the terrain with a green roof. The concept of the building is merging and peeking out. From above, the house is almost invisible. The slope flows onto its roof, and it is hard to distinguish where the landscape ends and where the house begins. From below, the mass stands out as it rises towards the view. The house is defined by a series of arches, which are also present on the facade. The individual rooms/chambers are like peepholes directed towards Znojmo.
We create the impression of several cellars piled on top of each other, several cellars dug at various levels.
It is a contemporary building that offers modern living comfort, but at the same time, the house strives to blend into the surroundings as if it had been here for ages. As if someone had cut a piece of the slope and exposed its innards.
The house wraps around a private courtyard, which is placed above the road, providing privacy while also offering a view. It is possible to ascend over the roof of the house to the top of the slope, where the family vineyard is located, and the harvest is directly transported to the press via an elevator. From the press, it is just a few steps to the banquet hall. The grapes are therefore grown, harvested, pressed, and stored all in one place. In the end, however, this is also mainly where they are consumed!
