The House R, located in the small village of Ribčev Laz near Lake Bohinj, combines the needs of the modern person while successfully referencing the historical tradition of alpine rural houses. The literal archetype of the house is vertically clad in wooden slats. The compact facade is interrupted in various places by window openings, all covered with sliding panels. The ground floor of the house can be almost entirely opened thanks to these panels, allowing as much natural light as possible into the interior. The interiors are dominated by white color and simple furnishings. The center of the house is penetrated by a single-arm staircase without a railing, connecting all three levels of the house.
