Village duplex, whose basic essence is simplicity. A simple idea based on simple construction, turning to local resources.

The house is our response to the theme of small-scale development in small municipalities. The house is also a humble manifestation that it is possible to build effectively even on a plot of very irregular shape, which may appear unusable at first glance.

Triangle
Three single-story masses form the basis of the duplex concept on an almost triangular plot, surrounded by roads on two sides. The elongated masses with a gable roof follow the shape of the land. Their spatial arrangement creates two separate units with a garage and the comfort of a private garden with perfect privacy.

Cultivation of Public Space
The entrance space to the residential units is designed as a common covered patio, conceived as an extension of the public space in front of the house. We develop the idea of cultivating public space by planting a tree on our own land that will bring joy to everyone. At the same time, we work with the fence as an integral part of both the house and the street space. Full fired bricks are arranged with small perforations so that the fence ensures privacy in the garden while not creating an impermeable barrier from the street.

The long building in a rural rhythm – continues where something once ended – layers and densifies.
One entrance, two worlds – protected yet open.
