Installation of the exhibition Contemporary Czech Industrial

Jaroslav Fragner Gallery 08/12/2011 – 22/01/2012

Installation of the exhibition Contemporary Czech Industrial
Address: GJF, Betlémské nám. 5a, Old City, Prague, Czech Republic
Completion:12 / 2011

Finding a way to ensure a cohesive appearance with an authentic atmosphere at the exhibition amid a great typological and aesthetic diversity of the selected buildings was the main theme of our consideration. An easily accessible element, omnipresent regardless of the variety of exhibited houses, ultimately became Euro pallets. The used floorboards brought a pleasant dose of patina, scents, and odors to the exhibition hall. Their modulation and grid allowed the gallery space to be suitably architecturized and divided into individual sections based on the types of production.

The balance of the installation is as follows:
- 250 pcs of pallets
- 190 pcs of L profiles
- 260 linear meters of roof battens
+ several boxes of screws

Our thanks go to the gallery and both curators of the exhibition, Dan Mert and Petr Volf, for their trust, and to the installation crew for their work.
