The spring of Elder Ernest Exner in Janské Lázně is a beautiful place to pause. We are creating better access to the spring – a new wider footbridge over Rudolf's stream.
The footbridge is not meant to be too noticeable, but it should embody playfulness while also conveying spa elegance. The starkness of the railing made from delicate elements is disrupted by the play with the slats, a small secret. The railing becomes a musical staff, into which a melody from Bohuslav Martinů's composition Opening of the Springs is coded. The decoration resembles streams bubbling to the surface. The lace finishing the railing from the underside connects to an ornament found on the spring's basin.
The supporting structure is made of solid larch wood, the deck from larch planks, and the railing is metal.
