The existing warehouse building from 1928 was created according to the design of Wilibald Braun for the needs of the company Pircher, which traded in coal and steel. The building served as a steel warehouse until the end of the 1980s. The structure has a load-bearing reinforced concrete frame. However, the concrete was executed as non-compact. After reconstruction, the building now serves as a city archive, cultural office, exhibition space for a local artists' association, and a café with a terrace—thus becoming a new city cultural center. As part of the reconstruction, the building was cleaned of later disruptive additions. All original structures were coated with a pure white paint, while the new additions significantly differ in material and color.
