"Holy Hostýn is one of the most famous places in the Czech Republic, attracting thousands of visitors each year. Hostýn not only draws religious pilgrims; its atmosphere and location in the heart of the Hostýn Hills also entice many tourists and athletes in any season. Currently, people are beginning to contemplate and discuss their approach to life again. Despite surveys indicating a decrease in believers, everyone needs to have something to believe in. For some, family comes first, for others, nature, and some believe in one of the many gods. I do not focus on any particular group of believers or non-believers. Therefore, I strive to create a kind of "pilgrimage" in which everyone can find their own meaning, whether it be spiritual, sporting, or recreational. I have intentionally downplayed the most apparent spiritual dimension of Holy Hostýn. I have identified, to the best of my conscience, seven key points connected by the most frequented trails. I would like these to become starting points for revitalizing the journey to Holy Hostýn."

These words began the diploma thesis of our architect Lenka Jalůvková (at that time Bulisová) from 2015 under the supervision of architect Jirka Marek.

One of these seven key points is the bus stop "U hřbitova" (At the Cemetery).

After awareness campaigns, gentle pressure, and endless persuasion, the leadership of the town Bystřice pod Hostýnem expressed a desire to realize this first stop. After adjustments and modifications to the project from the diploma thesis, we designed a simple structure that serves as the starting point to the Hostýn Hills and to Holy Hostýn itself - the bus stop. Only in retrospect did we realize that such a small structure would see hundreds to thousands of people each year, far more than we have influenced with all our buildings combined. A small structure with a significant impact.

Structurally, it is a frame wooden construction, entirely made of Czech larch, treated with oil, and featuring a green roof. The entire wooden structure is set on a base of exposed concrete. The information system, consisting of three glass panels, contains a map of the Hostýn Hills, a map of Bystřice pod Hostýnem, and timetables. The entire area is highlighted by granite paving stones, which were recycled from the original road in the town. A simple, clear, well-lit stop where you can wait for the bus, have a snack, check a map, or arrange a date. Simply a beautiful multifunctional space in a small town by the cemetery.

Hopefully, this was not the last stop in the Hostýn Hills, and we hope that the next one will not take long to arrive!
