<Muzeum vody> Water Museum </Muzeum vody>
The Water Pavilion is part of a giant park complex dedicated to the Dutch reclamation of the sea in the eastern part of the country, where new dikes and pumps are being created. The park is full of old machines - excavators, diggers, bulldozers and their giant components; there is also an aquarium with all sorts of creatures and a museum about sea reclamation. The latest addition is the Water Pavilion designed by the Dutch group NOX and architect Oosterhuis.
The interesting aspect of the entire project is the process of creation, which is fully symbiotic with CAAD technologies and essentially formed by stacking profiles along a curve that corresponds with the tour axis. This resulted in a silver body of a hydra, with the head rendered in black, as a nod to the collaboration of two entities in designing the pavilion. From the outside, the Water Pavilion resembles a sperm cell preparing to swim into the ocean and stir it up a bit.
Even the exterior hints that the interior will not be a walk in the park, and indeed, it is not. Inside, you won't find any right angles; you walk on undulating shells, water drips down your back, and you later realize you're standing in a puddle; the sounds resonate like in the belly of a whale, an interesting play of lights spreads the sound of water across the walls, and it’s simply amazing. In the last section, you will ascend to a rapid and view most of the pavilion from above. It is a beautiful structure.

P.S. This may have been true for a few months after the opening. The celebratory text was written after Honza's visit in 1998. A second visit to the museum and viewing the interior exhibition would likely dampen the spirits of anyone with a shred of taste. No, its form was only partially influenced by the architects.
