Proposal for private open-space offices in a high-rise building in Brno. The assignment was to create spaces for a men's club, co-working, a meditation room, shared kitchens, and a new bathroom. We worked with an open space that also provides privacy and offers a person an experience of the space as a whole, as well as individual places (islands) where each offers a different atmosphere. Some areas are more for daytime use, while others are for evening gatherings.
The space works with a central motif of curtains that separate the individual areas. Emphasis is placed on materials, their harmony and authenticity, textures, and touch. Concrete was left in its raw form, complemented by light flooring and solid wood. Local carpets warm up the space and create "islands" that give the open area a feeling of grounding.
