Multifunctional Building – Budějovická

The plot is in a corner position at the intersection of Rodvinovská and Budějovická streets. The house has a triangular floor plan according to the shape of the plot. The entire concept is based on the composition of two corner slabs that follow the wedge shape of the plot, which do not meet at the corner. The glass recession at the end of the corner contributes to lightening the overall mass. The cladding of these two slabs is made of Trespa façade panels. The expanded parts of the first floor are optically connected to the terrain as much as possible, and therefore a stone cladding is proposed here. The other parts are plastered with gray plaster. The house adapts to the building line created by neighboring objects on Budějovická Street, with this boundary being crossed only by the plinth of the garages, which are on the first floor and create a landing accessible from the sidewalk of Budějovická Street, allowing direct access to the commercial areas.
To the north on Budějovická Street, where the highest point of the plot is, the house has a façade with three above-ground floors, with part of the third above-ground floor set back for better mass connection to the existing building on the adjacent western side. The object has a four-story façade facing Rodvinovská Street, with again part of the last floor being set back.
The main entrance to the building is designed from the street "Budějovická" to the second above-ground floor (2.NP), where the following are located: Reception with an entrance hall, commercial areas, and services. Additionally, there are social facilities and vertical communication. The first above-ground floor is accessible only from Rodvinovská Street, both through the garage space and through the side entrance to the technical facilities of the building. On the third above-ground floor, there is a residential unit with the possibility of conversion to administrative use. The last floor (4.NP) is again used for residential or administrative purposes.
