Soil loft Reporyje
The investor's intention was to create a separate apartment on the 2nd floor and in the attic of a typical villa from the 1930s in Prague Řeporyje.

We decided to place the individual rooms with their amenities on the 2nd floor and use the attic for the main living space. This solution allowed the attic to remain unpartitioned, with only a block of a WC and kitchen inserted. This block is also visible from the exterior, as a new prism positioned in the roof. Inside, the kitchen connects to the newly accessible terrace. The attic and the hall on the 2nd floor are connected by a new steel staircase. The hall serves as an entrance area, providing access to the individual rooms on the 2nd floor and seamlessly transitions into the study.

For the flooring, oak boards were chosen, slightly darkened by staining. This flooring is used both in the living areas and in the bathroom and WC. The bathroom walls are finished with gray plaster and white built-in furniture. Both floors are visually connected by an exposed brick wall, which is continued with a chimney that ends at the peak of the roof. In the attic, a visible softwood structure of the roof is applied, which is left in its natural shade. The ceiling of the original part of the attic is white. In contrast, the newly inserted kitchen block features a ceiling and wall cladding made of natural spruce. Other smaller inserted elements (kitchen unit, staircase, railing, fireplace) are covered with gray coatings in slight contrast to the surrounding space.
