Place

Street type of an originally agricultural village.
The strength and certainty of the foundation, the proximity of generous farmyards, and agriculture are long gone. The nearby natural swimming area, once widely used, is now opaquely privatized and devastated with the involvement of local authorities, a fitting external reflection of the current internal state.
Uncertainty, stagnation. What now?

Plot
Although within the village, the builder's plot has a distinctly specific atmosphere. Crossing the boundary of the plot, we enter the land behind the mirror; the dull character of the surroundings suddenly transforms. There are two massive trees on the axis at the front of the garden, a nearby soft and open landscape, and distant horizons.

House
With the design, we attempted to introduce a more detailed hierarchy into the open space of the plot, logical both inside and out.
A narrow entrance situated at an unfavorable position of an ascending left turn of the adjacent municipal road leads to a paved area and a wooden shelter - a parking space open to the street and, toward the garden, a woodshed and storage/shed.
Between the shed and the house is a small stone courtyard. Here, among other things, it is quite pleasant to sit on the porch in the summer evening sun.
The house itself has a conservative expression towards the street and the village - we consider this a necessary balance to the fantasy of serial new builds and renovations in the immediate vicinity. To the east, the house becomes a low pavilion interspersed with a glazed wall and a covered terrace leading to the garden.
Behind the house, a small fruit orchard has been established.
