The design of the family house in a protected landscape area offered a theme related to regulations evoking construction in an almost traditional foothill village. The reality was working within the context of a typical newly built suburb (spatial expansion of housing in a village near a large city), with the street boundary of the plot at some kind of circular roundabout. The other houses in the area fundamentally follow the primary requirement for gabled roofs. Thus, we join the company of variations on the theme of buildings that do not necessarily need land, but if the attic space must be constructed, we will somehow utilize it.

The figure of the building is a long, elongated profile of the house with a gabled roof, bent twice to fit the width of the plot. The main volume of the house is positioned parallel to the street boundary of the plot, but the characteristic gable walls offer views from both the garden and the street. The broken volume adds privacy to the outdoor spaces upon entering the house and exiting to the garden.

Living in the house primarily takes place on the ground floor, bordered by a bedroom at the street gable and a study at the west, with the main living space in the central part, open through a deep southern porch into the garden. The attic is utilized for two rooms for growing children at the street gable; there was no need to add more rooms. The roof smoothly descends into the garden, opening into the living spaces. The open volume above the living space adds an adequate height proportion, while in the study by the garden façade, it descends into an almost garden house-like space.

The treatment of the building and interiors corresponds to the taste of the builders, being modest to stark, primarily composed of a range of standard, gray-white toned building and furniture materials.
