Family House in the Beskids

Family House in the Beskids
Architect: Ivana Dombková
Address: Beskydy, Czech Republic
Completion:2013
Area:289 m2
Built Up Area:458 m2

Barrier-free, simple, natural, airy, with low maintenance demands, connected to the landscape... this was the clients' brief.
The single-story family house is situated close to the northern boundary of the plot. To the east, south, and west, it opens up beautiful views of the Beskids panorama.
The entrance hall with storage space and seating can be accessed from the spacious garage as well as from the exterior. The entryway is visually connected to the garden on the other side of the house; upon entering, we see through glass the relaxation area with a sauna and the adjoining garden with a cooling pool on the northwest side.
On the way to the main living area, a southern view of the Beskids opens up through glass surfaces (office, outdoor seating under a roof). The kitchen is connected to the dining room and a seating area by the fireplace, with a wellness wing featuring a toilet, shower, sauna, and relaxation area extending from it. The views extend to the outdoor covered seating area in the southeast to the western panorama. The office, which serves as an occasional guest room, "closes off" the common area; behind sliding glass doors are two children's rooms, a children's bathroom, and the parents' end wing... One unit includes a bedroom, bathroom, and wardrobe.
Outdoor seating in a nook under the roof protects against strong winds and harsh sun. It connects to the kitchen, allowing for smooth service and more diners without collisions.
