The striking sculptural building was created for a technologist and an experienced manufacturer of composite shells, with whom we had already worked on several other projects. The shape of the land and its layout with the stream significantly influenced the very form of the family house, which adopted a semicircular shape composed of segments of a trapezoidal floor plan, creating a kind of dynamic cascade topped with an expressive organic roof made of a double-shell composite shell. This imparts a strong sculptural charge to the building while also allowing for unconventional lighting of the interior located between the individual roof segments. The interior layout of the single-storey house then dynamically unfolds from the semicircular shape. The individual rooms are arranged one after another and are freely traversable. Each room allows direct access to the garden.
