This is a single-story ground-level building with a rectangular floor plan and a roof in the shape of a flat plane. The curve of the roof is shaped by the utility of the interior spaces. In the design, we emphasized spatial shaping and functional division of the internal areas.
We created a clear internal hierarchy that facilitates the use of the building. The common living areas have a representative character due to the higher clear height. In the children's rooms, the clear height decreases, making the space more intimate. The clear height in all rooms increases towards the garden. The rooms open up to the sun and greenery. The funnel-shaped southern facade attempts to absorb all these attributes of the garden to the maximum.
The facade of the building is made of larch boards and waterproof plywood. The surface of the sandwich walls at this entrance is made of titanium-zinc metal cladding.
The entrance hall of the building is formed by a separate mass of a three-sided prism. The building is functionally divided into an entrance and a living part.
The first part is located on the northern facade. These are rooms "stuck" to the northern facade - an entrance area, a hall, a toilet, a pantry, a drying room, and a technical room. These rooms create a noise barrier that partially insulates against noise from the street and the railway, thus increasing the comfort of living.
The second part of the house, the main living room with the kitchen, is situated in the southwestern part of the building. Only one window is also on the northern facade. The main space can thus be ventilated transversely. On the southern side of the house, there are also two bedrooms and the main bathroom with a toilet. From all living rooms, including the bathroom, one can access the outdoor terrace.
The connection between the garden and the house is the leitmotif of the entire building.
