Bank building listed as a cultural monument becomes a travel center
The architectural intervention that has created a modern travel center in the bank building is impressive yet modest. When designing, we kept in mind that a vacation begins at the travel agency and – just like on vacation – wishes should be fulfilled here directly, with the necessary calmness and generosity. In order for clients to relax in the Ruefa Lounge and not be distracted from what is essential – namely, the selection of their well-deserved dream vacation – you won't find any unnecessary ornate decorations here.

Reception
No high thresholds or other barriers block your way from the main square to the central consultation hall with a high ceiling, where you can quickly and directly obtain all important travel information. Dominating this space is simple, multifunctional, mobile furniture that invites comfortable, relaxed browsing through brochures, during which you can enjoy a good coffee; or you can delve deeper into travel literature and make initial decisions.
Similar to a hotel, there are two reception desks on the right and left, providing the opportunity for an introductory, uncomplicated entry meeting.

Relaxed atmosphere during consultation
Individual, more detailed consultations take place in the side sections. Bright spaces, the softness and transparency of materials – a place intended for personal conversation. The focus here becomes the customer, and therefore you will no longer find walls filled with brochures that could distract you and ultimately overwhelm you; on the contrary, the belief here is that optimal solutions can be found together through intense consultation. The relaxed atmosphere permeates every lounge. Together with the company Selus, we developed a special lighting system for these spaces.

Flexible, multifunctional, and vibrant
The travel agency can also transform. All furniture from the central hall can be moved in no time, textiles from the side areas can be quickly taken down, desks have meanwhile disappeared, and the central space is ready for a lecture, presentation, or evening party. A variable space right in the city center – the client's desire for a vibrant place full of events has been fulfilled.

Meeting the familiar and the surprise
The exceptional and new qualities of the travel-focused consultation center are also reflected in the materials used, which reflect the characteristics that travelers seek: familiar yet surprising, elegant yet cost-effective. Classic elegance is combined with new approaches, traditional elements meet the unusual. All furniture is made from natural wood, combined with a bright orange color.
