Hanspaulka is a residential district in Prague, which refers to the early stages of fukctionalist architecture. Next door to the presented project is the famous
Villa of Lida Baarova by architect
Ladislav Žák. Creating an up to date, modern and technologically adequate response to this functionalist estetics was the primary aim of Villa Neherovská. A demolition of a hideous semi-detached house took place and a detached one family house was built, providing one central space to which all other functions of the house relate. On the underground floor, referring to the garden level, are situated an apartment for guests, wellness and a swimming pool with the technologies. On the entrance floor are situated a spacious living room with a kitchen and sanitary facilities, also a garage for three vehicles. The two main bedrooms, connected to separete bathrooms are situated on the first floor, on the second, last one, are situated the children bedrooms, also with seperate bathrooms and a shared playroom connected to a large terase with tremendous view to the Prague Castle. The house prides itself with art elements such as a relief by the famous sculptor Stanislav Kolibal on the west facade, a steel fountain by sculptor Václav Cigler and many others.
