Development and production headquarters of CROSS Zlín

The investor asked us for a design proposal for the facades, spatial arrangement, and interior of the new headquarters of a company specializing in transportation and information systems, ensuring that at first glance, it is clear that everything they do is carried out carefully, with quality, and with a vision for the future.

Our conceptual idea is based on the English translation of the company's name "cross." This motif is the foundation of the shape solution for the protruding facade, which, besides its aesthetic appeal, primarily serves practical functions: balconies for offices, providing shading for the glazing, allowing access walkways for cleaning and maintenance of the facade, supporting the growth of climbing plants, and simultaneously creating a distinctive graphic logo of the company.

We place special emphasis on highlighting the cross motif on the western and eastern facades using fixed blinds, which protect the interior from overheating. The principle of the cross also runs like a fairy tale thread through the interior, connecting raw building materials, exposed technical elements, and natural accessories, green elements, and playful color accents in furniture compositions.

This concept symbolizes connectivity and connection – not only in a technological sense but also in the aesthetic and functional understanding of the entire space.
