Wine bar Chatka

Wine bar Chatka
Address: Masarykovo náměstí 14, Znojmo, Czech Republic
Project:2015
Completion:2015
Area:59 m2

At the beginning, there was an empty space beneath a pair of cross vaults. We used the intersection as a basic motif that permeates the entire interior. Before our design, the name of the wine bar "Chatka" (a combination of the first syllables of the investors' last names) was already clear, and a logo was created – a house drawn in one stroke with a cross in the middle.
The pair of vaults naturally divides the space into two parts. In the entrance area, where there is seating for guests, a chandelier in the shape of a cross and a long bench take center stage. In the second area, the focal point is the structure of a work desk/bar and a sturdy wine rack. We do not interfere with the vaults; we only illuminate them. The authenticity and uniqueness of this space are enhanced by ash wood, the skilled work of the carpenter and locksmith, and the design of the tables, lighting fixtures, and bench specifically for this area. There is nothing superfluous here.
The lighting is solved with LED strips, allowing for maximum delicacy of the hanging chandelier and discreet integration of lighting into the furniture pieces. Glasses become lampshades, and illuminated wine bottles create a gentle tint throughout the bar space.
