Biography
William (Bill) K. Hellmuth was an American architect, honorary member of the AIA, and director of the HOK studio, where he spent 32 years.
He began studying at the University of Virginia and obtained a master's degree in architecture from Princeton University in 1977, where he studied under Michael Graves. He started gaining work experience at the New York office of S.O.M. In 1991, he moved to the HOK studio (which was co-founded by his uncle George F. Hellmuth in 1949) in St. Louis and later Washington, where he became director in 2005.
