Polička – In Polička, they have relied on the inspiration and ideas of architecture students from Brno. The city is collaborating with the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Technology in Brno. They are preparing a new exhibition at the museum, where they will present the works of students who have been working on the design of a housing project on the outskirts of Polička. They processed previously agreed topics. “The students posed various questions. What should development on the outskirts of the city look like and why do suburbs look the way they do? What is the alternative to the typical satellite town? Why does the typical Czech long for a family home? What can architects offer to contemporary cities and society? Based on common thinking, several designs were created that will be displayed in the atrium of the Polička Museum,” explained the exhibition curator and vice-dean of the faculty, Radek Toman. At the exhibition, you can view the project by Klarisa Kyselková, which received an award for the best bachelor’s thesis at the Faculty of Architecture in Brno. The exhibition opening will take place on Friday at 5 PM at the Polička Museum.
