We cordially invite you to the vernissage and opening of the exhibition titled 80IG80, showcasing 80 works by students and graduates dedicated to the teacher on the occasion of Ivan Gürtler's 80th birthday. The vernissage and meeting will take place on November 22, 2022, at 6:00 PM in the foyer of FAD STU.
Dr.h.c., Assoc. Prof. Ing. arch. Acad. arch. Ivan Gürtler, PhD. is celebrating his milestone 80th birthday. During his tenure in higher education from 1991 to 2018, he worked at various universities, including FAD STU in Bratislava, VUT in Brno, the Department of Architecture at TUKE in Košice, and SvF VŠB-TU in Ostrava. Throughout his career, he mentored 123 graduates in the field of architecture. This number currently represents a community that, due to its potential, significantly influences the direction of contemporary architecture both in Slovakia and abroad. On this occasion of his milestone birthday, the project "80IG80" aims to present the works of his graduating students through their realized projects with words, drawings, and photographs in an exhibition that will take place from November 22 to December 9 in the foyer of FAD STU in Bratislava. The exhibition loosely ties to the exhibition held in 2009 titled MADE IN IG.
