Elia Zenghelis is a Greek architect and teacher. He studied architecture at the Architectural Association in London, completing his studies in 1961. From 1961 to 1971, he worked at the London firm Douglas Stephen and Partners. Since 1963, he has been involved with the London Architectural Association, where he became a prominent teacher striving to incorporate radical avant-garde into the curriculum. From 1971 to 1975, he collaborated with various architects in London, Paris, and New York. In 1975, he was one of the four founding members of OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture). From 1980 to 1987, he was the head of OMA in London. From 1982 to 1987, he led the OMA branch in Athens.
