With a modest but growing list of projects to his name it is not hard to understand why people get excited about this little known Swiss architect. Often understated, with a good feeling for materials, particularly concrete, his buildings are not only sympathetic to their surroundings but also demonstrate a tacit sensitivity to historical architectural practices and proportions. A total of 13 projects are examined through photographs, plans and details, including private houses built in Switzerland, the Novartis Campus Visitor Center and the School Complex Im Birch.
