Biography
Sáenz de Oiza was one of the most significant Spanish architects of the second half of the 20th century. After studying architecture at ETSAM in Madrid, he traveled to the USA. In 1949, he returned to Madrid, where he taught at ETSAM and later became its director. In addition to numerous awards, he received the National Architecture Award (1954), the Gold Medal (1989), and the Prince of Asturias Award (1993).
