Biography
František Marek was a Czech architect who first trained as a bricklayer, then graduated from a secondary school of engineering, and from 1922 to 1926 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Josef Gočár. He was an active member of the Mánes Association of Fine Artists. In 1948, he participated in artistic competitions in the architectural design category at the Olympic Games in London, where he received an honorable mention for the Prague Sokolovna.
