Leopold Kaufmann

He trained as a carpenter and subsequently studied architecture at the Technical University of Graz. From 1961 to 1962, he worked in Reuthe together with Helmut Eisentler and Bernhard Haeckel. Since 1965, he operated his own architectural practice in Bezau and Dornbirn. In 1968, he took over the management of the Post hotel in his hometown of Bezau, which had been run by his ancestors since 1850. In 1992, he participated in the architectural biennale in Venice. In 1994, he handed over the management of the hotel to his daughter Susanne Kaufmann.
