BiographyMarius Frans Duintjer was a Dutch architect. His father was Engberta Jurjena Duintjer, the director of a potato starch factory, and his mother was Jetske Franciska Ottema. He grew up in the Art Nouveau building Bocht Oosterdiep in Veendam, which was designed by architect J. A. Hooykaas (1855-1934) at the request of his father.
