Biography
After the war, he began studying architecture in 1946 under Prof. E. Ravnikar. From 1947 to 1948, he studied at the technical university in Prague. He graduated in 1954 with a project for the Slovenian Technical Museum. After his studies, he worked in a group focused on exhibition architecture. In 1959, he, along with E. Simčič and I. Arnautovič, received the Prešeren Award for Hall A at the Ljubljana exhibition center. From 1955, he served as a research worker at the Institute for Housing Construction OLO in Ljubljana, which he led after 1962, winning 11 architectural competitions with it. From 1963 to 1967, he was the chairman of the Association of Architects in Slovenia. In 1979, he joined the architectural office AB and officially retired in 1990, while still participating in design work. In 2008, he was awarded the Prešeren Award and the Plečnik Medal for his lifetime achievement.
