Nicola Bigaglia was an Italian architect and painter who settled in Lisbon in 1888. He was a teacher at the industrial school in Leiria and taught ornamental modeling at the Afonso Domingues industrial school in Lisbon. In his work, he used classical styles with rich ornamental decorations, as evidenced by his numerous works created during his stay in Portugal. Ill, he returned to Venice, where he died in 1908.
