The architectural office PLURAL was founded by Martin Jančok (*1978) in 2009, and Michal Janák (*1987) became part of it in 2013. PLURAL is currently working on the revitalization of the Žilina Neolog Synagogue and its transformation into a kunsthalle – New Synagogue, the project of which was awarded the Bauwelt Advancement Award 2013. The second significant project is the revitalization and reconstruction of the former power plant complex in Žilina (1st place in a public architectural competition, 2015). Other awarded projects include the Alexis bookstore (in collaboration with Totalstudio, CE–ZA–AR 2011 in the Interior category) and the Summer Pavilion of the Slovak National Gallery (in collaboration with Totalstudio, CE–ZA–AR 2012 in the Exterior category).
