BiographyHe graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology. In 1993, Roman Mach, together with his classmate Jozef Kubín, founded the architectural firm 1. ČERNOPOLNÍ s.r.o, which is responsible for a number of constructions not only in Brno, such as the Kaskáda golf area in Jinačovice (2003-09), the Music Scene of MdB on Lidická Street in Brno (2004), the Pavilion of Tigers and Leopards at the Brno Zoo (1998-2000, in collaboration with Petr Hlavatý), or Aqualand Moravia in Pasohlávky (2013). He worked in Yakutsk (reconstruction of the national library, 1999–2003; reconstruction of the Sobor Preobroždenskoj church, 2000–2003), where he tragically died during a sport descent of the river.
