Biography
Sabine Pollak is an Austrian architect. From 1978 to 1988, she studied at the Technical Universities of Graz, Innsbruck, and Vienna. In 1995, she earned her PhD at TU Wien with her dissertation titled "Programs and Strategies in Architecture" and in 2003, she qualified as a docent with her book "Empty Spaces. Living and Femininity in Modernity". Since 1995, she has led the architectural firm Köb&Pollak Architektur in Wolfurt and Vienna together with Roland Köb, working in the fields of urban planning, residential construction, architectural theory, and gender research. Sabine Pollak has taught as a visiting professor at various international universities and since 2008, she has been a professor of architecture and urban studies at the University of Arts and Design in Linz.
