Scapelab

Scapelab is based on finding simple, surprising solutions to the issues of complex spaces. The studio has gradually developed from designing small-scale objects, family and apartment buildings, to creating public spaces and managing extensive urban planning projects. The budget they work with in the studio is also varied. From an exclusive yet understated brick residential complex costing tens of millions of euros to the transformation of an abandoned go-kart track into a public park for just a few euros per square meter; they have always managed to create interesting and refreshing environments and spaces. The approach of the Scapelab studio is based on integrating the design process and inventive problem-solving. The projects are well thought out and at the same time realistic, with an effective connection of technique and art, relying on close collaboration with experts from various fields. “We want the proposed solutions to actually work and also look good.
