BiographyBefore his career as an architect, he studied nuclear physics, Japanese culture, and chemistry. In 1986, he graduated from the School of Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy. From 1986 to 1989, he moved to Japan on a scholarship from the Japanese Ministry to study Japanese culture. He applies the knowledge gained in his landscape architecture studio SLA, which he founded in 1994. He has received several national and international awards, including the C.F. Hansen Medal – the highest national honor awarded to a Danish architect by Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
