1978 - obtained a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Notre Dame
1982 - obtained a master's degree in architecture from Columbia University in New York
1984 - co-founded the architectural firm Keenen/Riley with John Keenen, operating in New York and Miami
1990 - opened the Arthur Ross Architecture Gallery at Columbia University
