Biography
Woldemar Hermann was a German architect and painter who built approximately 70 buildings in the second quarter of the 19th century, most of which were later demolished. After the German Revolution in 1848, he left his architectural profession and solely devoted himself to painting, from which he barely supported his family. In 1878, he committed suicide by drowning in the Elbe.
