Yona Friedman

French architect, urban planner, and visionary, whose so-called megastructures of cities and manifesto of mobile architecture made him famous in the late 1950s. During World War II, he escaped from Nazi-occupied Hungary to Haifa in Israel. In 1957, he permanently moved to Paris, where he acquired French citizenship in 1966.
