BiographyAuthorized architect and educator at the Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague. Since 1977, he has worked in K. Prager's studio on larger projects: New Stage, Rudolfinum, KB Prague 5, Houses at the Cross, and in exploring permanent urban structures with flexible use, including educational and cultural facilities, hotels, and office spaces. He carried out independent creative work with J. Louda, later also with T. Kulík, from 1981 LO-TECH, for Sportprojekt and in the design commission of ČFVU: the rowing complex in Račice, the control room in Štvanice, with I. Loose and V. Mudra for the Ski Center in Harrachov, and with J. Smetana for the Spirala Theatre in Prague. He was a founding member of the group Středotlací, is a member of the Architects and Visual Artists Block, the Academy of the Czech Architecture Award, and the Czech Chamber of Architects. He completed a postgraduate course in urban planning at FA CTU. In 1994, he collaborated as a local architect on the ISP project in Prague 6. This experience inspired a deeper interest in the issues of both school buildings and related topics of accommodation, dining, performance, and libraries; since 2000, he has been significantly engaged in the design of cinemas and multiplexes - see the RESUME tab. Currently, he addresses the themes of his work in both teaching and research, as well as in the publication of issues related to the design of the above-mentioned buildings - see the PUBLICATIONS tab. Awards: 1991 - Honorable Mention at the Prague Quadriennale, 1993 - Grand Prix of the Architects' Association '93, 2006 - Award from the State Housing Development Fund, 2008 - EAREI Building of the Year 2008, 2018 - Jože Plečnik Award.
