BiographyAnna Puigjaner Barberà is a Spanish architect, researcher, and publisher. She studied architecture at ETSAB in Barcelona (Bachelor's in 2004, Master's in 2008, Doctorate in 2014). In her doctoral thesis, she focused on housing units without kitchens in the New York hotel Waldorf Astoria. In 2005, she co-founded the architectural firm MAIO in Barcelona. From 2011 to 2016, she was an editor for the Catalan magazine Quaderns. In 2016, she received the Wheelwright Prize travel fellowship from Harvard University. She has taught at the Royal College of Art in London and at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona. In 2023, she was appointed professor at the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich.
