Next to the old ski slope near the border crossing Pomezní Boudy in the Krkonošs, a small mountain hut named "Černá Voda" has been built.
The original ski lift station has been replaced by a new wooden structure, which stands at the confluence of Kolbenovy Stream and Černá Voda Stream, from which the name of this mountain hut originates. The owner’s wish was to design a small building that would serve for short-term accommodation of the guests of the nearby mountain hut Tereza.
This is a wooden structure measuring approximately 5.3 x 5.6 meters, to which a steel terrace of about 5.3 x 2.5 meters is attached. The house is functionally divided into an entrance hall, a living room with a kitchenette, and a bathroom with a toilet. Within the living room, above the hallway and the bathroom, there is a sleeping area designed to be accessible by a staircase from the living room. The entire room is open up to the ridge of the roof structure, and the sleeping area is separated by a protective net.
The building is situated on a relatively steep northeastern slope of the Pomezní Ridge, in close proximity to the stream. It is supported by concrete pillars, and the entire above-ground part of the building has a wooden structure. Black aluminum sheets were used for the roof and side facades, while the remaining two gable walls are clad with wooden boards painted black. The hut stands independently in a mountain meadow away from the main development of the village Horní Malá Úpa. It is surrounded by tall trees and shrubs that line the Kolbenův Stream. From the large corner window, there is a beautiful view of the valley of the river Malá Úpa and the surrounding landscape, as well as the peak of the highest Czech mountain, Sněžka.
