The conceptual aim of Budoir’s interior is to live up to its name—budoir as a private sitting room for women. Budoir shuts itself away from the world and thus creates a private, intimate space. Its beige color pallet augmented with wood, brass, and accents of cyclamen and kerosene blue, help highlight the boutique’s textiles and accessories. The used materials also play a part—the carpet with long hair, diffused light, and the velvety finish of the cushioned goods imbue the room with softness. At the symbolic and functional center of the boutique stands a fitting room. Whether it be its general disposition or constellations of spotlights, Budoir’s life and geography revolve around it.
